The service components offered by Dachser DIY-Logistics are as standardized as possible and as individual as necessary. Intelligent consolidation concepts reduce complexity, easing the burden both on the environment and on your finances.

We set ourselves an exacting goal: to provide an uninterrupted service chain from manufacturer to shelf. Dachser also offers a wide range of value-added services (VAS) up- and downstream of transport and warehousing – from quality controls, for example at the production site in China, through to in-store logistics in European DIY stores.
Dachser DIY-Logistics organizes the rapid, flexible and reliable procurement of DIY products by air and sea freight – and delivers them to all 18,000 DIY outlets across Europe in line with demand.
By integrating and consolidating all logistics structures and systems, we are able to leverage all potential for optimization. This is made possible by innovative IT systems coupled with extensive warehouse capacities.

Dachser operates a global network with 306 locations of its own, combined with strong local partners in all core markets. Decentrally organized branches ensure proximity to our customers in the regions.

Via its own national companies, Dachser Air & Sea Logistics serves the core markets. We work exclusively with carefully selected partners specializing in air and sea freight.

In our own European network for systems and charter freight services, we serve Europe, the CIS states, North Africa and parts of the Middle East with 3,710 scheduled services daily. In all of our activities, we consistently apply uniform logistics standards. Hub solutions minimize goods transshipment frequencies and ensure maximum transport efficiency.

One language for all: DIY-Bits (Business Information Transfer System)

Dachser’s DIY-Bits platform converts all order, movement and inventory data into all required formats. This creates a swift, automated exchange of information between industry and retailers. The advantage: all business processes are organized in compliance with international DIY retailing specifications on the basis of globally applicable standards. You can choose from two application possibilities:

• DIY-Bits Classic for communication between ERP systems,
• DIY-Bits Web, for cases where no ERP system is used.

Efficient with SynLOG

It sounds like a paradox: supplying markets with goods is becoming increasingly complex. And yet at the same time, everything is getting simpler. Thanks to SynLOG: the efficient and eco-friendly concept for reducing ramp contacts ultimately brings more success and higher earnings at the point of sale.


SynLOG is a cooperation project between the BAU+DIY and the Industrieverband Garten e.V., IVG, manufacturers’ associations. The organization continuously creates synergies and reduces the number of deliveries – and therefore related costs – from ramp to shelf. With impressive results:

Merchandising & Value-added services

Dachser DIY-Logistics offers more than just transport and warehousing. The range of services is supplemented by a wide variety of additional services, ranging from order picking and value-added services in the procurement market, through to services at the point of sale.

The DIY Merchandising Service guarantees optimal presence at the point of sale immediately after the goods are delivered to the outlet – Europe-wide. Goods shelving is reduced on average from 4.5 days to one day – ensuring gap-free presence of all products on store shelves.
