Over and above the legal stipulations, Dachser has developed centrally organized safety, quality and environmental procedures, as well as health and safety measures. One key element of these guidelines are the internal, IT-supported – and therefore controllable – prohibitions on the transport of certain dangerous goods, which because of their high risk potential, legal restrictions or other special requirements, are not network-compatible.

In the areas of safety, quality, health & safety and environmental protection, the Dachser management has drawn up stringent best-practice principles. These form an integral part of our internal systems and strict compliance with them is assessed at regular intervals.

Logistics experts specially trained in the responsible handling of chemical goods ensure compliance with all legal stipulations. The Safety and Quality Assessment System (SQAS) confirms the safety and quality of these services.

And has been for many decades. Special dangerous goods warehouse locations, extensive controls and Dachser know-how ensure that in the meantime 2.5 million dangerous goods consignments are safely transported each year.

A central dangerous goods safety adviser at our head office in Kempten as well as more than 135 regional dangerous goods safety advisers in the branches monitor compliance with all national and international statutory provisions, as well as with the internal Dachser dangerous goods guidelines. These have been uniformly and bindingly defined by the management since 1988 and are regularly updated.

Over and above the training measures required by law, Dachser’s dangerous goods safety advisers attend internal coaching sessions several times a year. Over 9,500 employees undergo regular internal and external dangerous goods training each year.
