Celebrations were held yesterday as logistics provider DACHSER opened a new warehouse at its logistics center in Hörsching near Linz, Austria. The new building is a contract logistics warehouse with a storage and logistics area of 10,000 square meters with 20,000 pallet spaces. DACHSER invested some 10 million euros in the location and is creating up to 30 new jobs.
In roughly four years, DACHSER has integrated its Iberian subsidiary Azkar Group into its European road network. The overland transport organizations will operate under the names of DACHSER Spain and DACHSER Portugal in the future. This was announced today by CEO Bernhard Simon, COO Road Logistics Michael Schilling, and Juan Antonio Quintana, Managing Director European Logistics Iberia, at the transport logistic trade fair in Munich.

DACHSER, the Official Logistics Company of La Vuelta and sponsor of the Team Classification Award, presented the award to the Astana Pro Team during the closing ceremony of this 72nd edition. Through August 19 to September 10, DACHSER has successfully managed the logistical deployment of La Vuelta 2017, in an edition that has unfolded a particularly demanding itinerary.

La Pandera, in Sierra Sur de Jaén, a journey that has not been repeated for 8 years, is known to be one of the most difficult points of the race and is one of the decisive stages in this 72nd edition.
● The competition will pass by French territory for the first time with three complete stages, starting off last Saturday with a team time trial sponsored by DACHSER.
● France is a key country in the DACHSER European network, where the Official Logistics company and Main Sponsor of the event has 69 branches and a storage space of up to 210,000 m2.
The 72nd edition of La Vuelta counts on DACHSER, for the integral logistics management of the sporting event.
