The Korea Cargo Transport Workers' Federation announced to launch a strike starting on Monday, 10 October 2016, in response to the government’s abolishment of the “cargo transport market advancement plan” which will harm the truck drivers’ working condition. Read more here.
As there is already a strike ongoing in rail transport, we expect challenging circumstances in road traffic. There is no estimated time of when the strike will come to an end; this depends on the negotiation process between the government and the union.
