Since 2005, DACHSER has partnered with NGO terre des hommes to protect children’s rights, promote education, and preserve natural resources. As part of a youth exchange program, five DACHSER trainees recently visited project villages in the northern Indian state of Uttar Pradesh and share their experiences. They visited Amoli and Hirdaypur villages in Varanasi, near the holy Hindu city, and witnessed self-confidence there.
The DACHSER Bangkok branch has moved into a spacious new facility in the conveniently located Huaykwang district. The large open space gives plenty of room for the growing team and business volume.
In roughly four years, DACHSER has integrated its Iberian subsidiary Azkar Group into its European road network. The overland transport organizations will operate under the names of DACHSER Spain and DACHSER Portugal in the future. This was announced by CEO Bernhard Simon, COO Road Logistics Michael Schilling, and Juan Antonio Quintana, Managing Director European Logistics Iberia, at the transport logistic trade fair in Munich.
DACHSER has introduced a new weekly LCL railway service from China to Europe to extend its comprehensive door-to-door logistics solutions between the two continents. The new service creates greater stability for handling worldwide supply chains when market conditions are often unpredictable.

Irma has passed the US, efforts are underway to rebuild and clean-up any destruction caused by the hurricane.
National Hurricane Center (NHC) downgraded Irma to a tropical depression Monday night. Irma flooded parts of Jacksonville, Savannah and Charleston yesterday. An estimated 6.6 million people are still without power across the southeastern US, mainly in Florida and Georgia. Due to its size, Irma had a wide ranging impact and supply chains will be severely affected. Fuel and truck shortages are expected.
Hurricane Irma hit Florida as a category 4 hurricane in the Florida Keys before making its way up the West Coast and Central Florida. A state of emergency is still in effect for six East Coast states - Florida, Georgia, South Carolina, North Carolina, Alabama and Virginia.
As Hurricane Irma moves closer, a state of emergency has now been issued for 5 East Coast states - Florida, Georgia, South Carolina, North Carolina and Virginia. The National Hurricane Center (NHC) currently categorizes Irma as a category 4 hurricane with 155 mph winds.
