Chinese New Year affects business worldwide.
In 2017, the Mainland China offices will be closed during the CNY period from 27 January to 2 February 2017.
One to two weeks before CNY, factories will speed up their production. They will close down completely during CNY. Production will resume after and be back to normal one to two weeks after the holidays.
There are two celebrations that occur during this time, the Official Holiday and the Traditional Holiday. It is due to this that some factories will finish earlier than others and take longer vacations. Some suppliers are off for over one month.
