Middle East Air Freight Situation

Saudi Arabia, UAE, Bahrain and Egypt have closed their airspace to Qatar traffic. Saudi Arabia has also closed its land border with Qatar.

Qatar Airways operates about 50 flights a day and serves 18 destinations in these four countries. For regional freight forwarding this means Qatar will have to use alternative, longer routes with higher fuel costs for flights to Europe and North American destinations. There is also a potential for stranded flights.

As instructed by the UAE government, Emirates, Etihad, Saudia, Egypt Air and other regional airlines have already suspended flights to and from Doha, Qatar.

For latest updates please check the Qatar, Emirates and Etihad cargo websites.

DACHSER USA is closely monitoring the situation and will provide updates when available. Please contact your local representative if you have any questions.
