For Dachser Belgium, site in Willebroek, we are looking for an enthusiastic fulltime

dispatcher (m/f)

for immediate commencement of employment.

The position:

  • You are responsible for the efficient planning of about 50 distribution vehicles and trailers (for the regions of Antwerp, Brabant, Vlaams-Brabant, Kempen, pieces of East Flanders and Limburg);
  • You ensure that the vehicles are optimally loaded;
  • You are responsible for the monitoring of deliveries and pick-ups within Belgium (with our track & trace system);
  • You are the first point of contact for our drivers at the counter and maintain good contacts with them (also by telephone during their tour);
  • You give our drivers their instructions in their daily departure: you give them the necessary documents and orders, hand over the ' penkeys ', follow the routes, and check the departure and arrival times.

Who are you?

  • You preferably have a A2 degree and a first (or more) experience in the logistics and distribution sector;
  • You are immune to stress and have a good geographical knowledge of Belgium and the Belgian road network;
  • You are a Dutch native and you can express yourself very well express (written and oral) in French (half of our drivers are French speaking);
  • You have experience with the planning of vehicles within Belgium or you worked as a driver for distribution/deliveries in Belgium;
  • Candidates who have worked as a driver for deliveries in Belgium are also eligible if the other conditions are met;
  • Your can easily work with a computer. There is no need for knowledge of programs (the DACHSER program is taught);
  • You are willing to work in a 2-shift system (usually early team from 5 am until 1.30 pm or from 10 am to 7:30 pm. In the absence of a colleague, willing to do the night shift 00.00 – 8:30 am).
