DACHSER posted substantial growth once again in 2018. The logistics provider increased its consolidated net revenue by 5.5 percent to EUR 5.57 billion. As they did last year, shipment numbers increased, rising by 2.5 percent to 83.7 million; tonnage rose 3.0 percent to 41.3 million metric tons. With 30,609 employees in total, up 1,511 from the preceding year, DACHSER’s workforce reached a record high.
DACHSER Czech Republic, an international logistics provider, appointed a new Forwarding Manager for its branch DACHSER Kladno. Jaroslav Zelenka took over the position with the aim to further increase the quality of logistic services. 
DACHSER Czech Republic, an international logistics provider, has a new Country Manager for Air & Sea Logistics - Radek Duda will be responsible for the business field in the Czech Republic. 
By 2022, logistics provider DACHSER plans to replace all of its roughly 6,000 ground conveyors in Europe with vehicles powered by energy-saving lithium-ion batteries. 
DACHSER Czech Republic, a leading international logistic service provider, sees Petr Kozel, its Managing Director and Chairman of the Board of Directors, resign from his positions. After 12 years with the company and 26 years in the logistics sector, Petr Kozel decided to retire. Starting January 2019, Jan Pihar, who has so far successfully managed DACHSER Kladno, the biggest branch of DACHSER in the Czech Republic, will take over his responsibilities. 
The international logistics provider DACHSER moved into a new warehouse and office space in Hradec Králové. The Hradec Králové branch of the company will be offering a wide spectrum of logistics services, the consolidation of goods for regional and long-distance transport and contract logistics on a total area of 4,763 square metres of logistics and office space. 
The international logistics provider DACHSER Czech Republic has once again received the Responsible Care certificate for responsible behaviour in the chemical industry. In a audit at its central headquarters in Kladno, the company successfully defended its adherence to the principles of the safe and responsible handling of chemical products. The Association of the Chemical Industry of the Czech Republic has therefore granted it the international Responsible Care certificate for a further four years. 
As the groupage leader in the German and European markets, DACHSER operates a close-knit overland transport network. But the logistics provider’s closely integrated groupage network extends to sea freight, too. In 2018, 26 new LCL (less than container load) connections will be launched. For six of its existing services, DACHSER is increasing the frequency of departures from every two weeks to every week.
Global logistics provider DACHSER Slovakia has launched the operation of its new warehouse in Lozorno, near Bratislava. The project, into which the company invested EUR 5 million, is part of the DACHSER Group’s pan-European growth strategy. 
For the first time, the logistics provider achieves revenue of over EUR 6 billion with growth driven by strong export business in Europe and invigorated global trade. 
With DACHSER Rail Services, the global logistics provider offers an alternative to air and sea freight that has been optimized for time and cost. The services use the “New Silk Road” and the trans-Siberian route to connect the economic areas of China and Europe. 
In the latest “Top 100 in Logistics in Europe” study, DACHSER once again takes the top spot in the European groupage transportation segment. And on the “special transports” market (including food logistics), the company rose from seventh to fourth place. 
Jochen Müller took up the role of Chief Operations Officer (COO) for DACHSER’s Air & Sea Logistics business field on January 1, 2018. He replaces Thomas Reuter, who retired at the end of last year after 39 years at DACHSER. Müller joined DACHSER on October 1, 2016 to prepare for his duties as COO. 
As part of the presentation of the European Transport Award for Sustainability (ETPN), this year DACHSER received the Special Award for Corporate Social Responsibility. The company came first in the Transportation and Forwarding Companies category. 
The international logistics provider DACHSER has launched two new groupage routes to central and northern Germany. There will now be direct routes leaving Kladno each day for Frankfurt and Hamburg, enabling the even faster delivery of goods to our western neighbour. DACHSER has thus expanded the number of its groupage routes in the Czech Republic to 89. 
DACHSER is now offering a Frankfurt–Shanghai-Frankfurt air charter service with a regular frequency of once a week. Each Saturday night the Boeing 747 has a capacity of up to 105 tonnes of air cargoin each direction (Eastbound and Westbound). Czech exporters can use a regular daily route for land transport to Frankfurt. 
The international logistics provider DACHSER Czech Republic has signed a cooperation agreement with the company OEZ from the Siemens group. DACHSER will be providing transport, storage and value added services for this leader in the area of the production of moulded case and air circuit breakers. The services will be provided in a new hall that OEZ is building in its complex in Letohrad. DACHSER has invested approximately 26 million crowns into warehouse equipment here and will be creating 45 new jobs. 
DACHSER Czech Republic has obtained AEO (Authorized Economic Operator) certification, granted by the Czech customs administration. Its validity is contractually recognised throughout the European Union and in third countries. This international certificate confirms that the company in question is solvent and reliable and fulfils the demanding safety criteria. In return it permits simplified customs formalities and faster customs procedures. DACHSER received the highest level of certification, AEOF. 
 International logistics provider DACHSER ceremonially opened a new warehouse at its logistics center in Hörsching near Linz, Austria. The new building is a contract logistics warehouse with a storage and logistics area of 10,000 square meters with 20,000 pallet spaces. DACHSER invested some 10 million euros in the location and is creating up to 30 new jobs. Dachser Czech Republic has with branch in Hörsching regular daily connections from Brno and Kladno.
In roughly four years, DACHSER has integrated its Iberian subsidiary Azkar Group into its European road network. The overland transport organizations will operate under the names of DACHSER Spain and DACHSER Portugal in the future. 
DACHSER continued to grow in fiscal year 2016, generating consolidated gross revenue of around 5.71 billion euros—representing a consolidated revenue increase of 1.7 percent on the previous year. The number of shipments rose by 2.4 percent to 80.0 million, and tonnage by 2.4 percent to 38.2 million metric tons. This growth was driven by European overland transport as well as food logistics. 
For the second year DACHSER Czech Republic has been supporting Světluška (Firefly in English), a project of the Czech radio station Český rozhlas that is dedicated to visually impaired children and adults. The cooperation is pure logistics – DACHSER provides the storage of Světluška’s promotional materials and equipment for the implementation of the foundation’s events. This year the value of the gift in the form of the provided services amounted to a quarter of a million crowns. 
For the 20th time, the consulting and auditing firm EY (Ernst & Young) has honored successful entrepreneurs with their “Entrepreneur des Jahres“ (Entrepreneur of the Year) award. DACHSER CEO Bernhard Simon was among the winners of the prize, which is given for entrepreneurship, innovation and personal dedication. He accepted the award for family-owned companies in Berlin on November 18. 
Ing. Petr Kozel (53), the Managing Director of DACHSER Czech Republic, was awarded with the logistics GRYF Supply Chain Award at the gala award ceremony evening of the SpeedCHAIN International Logistic Conference in the Břevnov Monastery in Prague. This prestigious award is granted each year to the personality that, in the given year, has significantly and positively contributed to developments in the area of logistics through his activities. 
DACHSER has promoted its Head of Contract Logistics, Alexander Tonn, to become the new Managing Director of European Logistics Germany. The 43-year old Tonn will take up his new position on January 1, 2017 to oversee business development of the 38 German branch offices in the European Logistics business line (overland transport and contract logistics for industrial goods). He will report to Michael Schilling, COO Road Logistics and Deputy Chairman of the Executive Board, who will continue to be responsible for this position in addition to his duties until the end of the year. 
Experienced logistics manager Jochen Müller (52) will soon be joining the DACHSER team. On January 1, 2018, he will take over from Thomas Reuter as Chief Operations Officer (COO) of the Air & Sea Logistics business field. The transition period, during which Müller will work on developing projects, will start on October 1 of this year. Thomas Reuter will remain on the Executive Board in his role as head of Air & Sea Logistics through the transition period until he retires on December 31, 2017. 
As it builds new facilities in Austria, France, and Germany, DACHSER is strengthening its contract logistics operations across Europe. Integrated logistics services including transport, warehousing, and value-added services will be available in even more locations. 
The International logistics provider DACHSER Czech Republic has been providing comprehensive logistics services for GCE, an international manufacturer of equipment for the control of and work with gases, ever since the year 2006. During its decade of cooperation DACHSER has dispatched up to 750 000 shipments for GCE with a total weight exceeding 35 000 tonnes and has transported or sent them to more than 125 countries. This cooperation is a prime example of DACHSER’s growth together with its customers, primarily in the area of medicinal and technical gases. The systematic connection of warehousing services together with land, sea and air transport contributes significantly to this. 
This year the logistics provider DACHSER Czech Republic is celebrating 10 years since the joint venture with the international DACHSER group. During this successful decade the company has fully integrated its branches into DACHSER’s European-wide network of groupage services and has invested into its further development, seen a 250% increase in the turnover and almost doubled the number of its employees. DACHSER employs 500 logistics specialists in the Czech Republic and another 200 people work in DACHSER’s colours in positions of drivers for its suppliers. 
DACHSER reports strong, organic growth for fiscal year 2015. Consolidated revenue increased by 6.5 percent to EUR 5.64 billion. Shipments rose by 4.0 percent to 78.1 million, while tonnage increased by 5.2 percent to 37.3 million metric tons. The primary contributors for the positive performance were the overland freight services for food and industrial goods in Europe. 
DACHSER has created a new central organizational unit, Corporate Solutions, Research & Development, in order to advance its business with global, industry-specific logistics solutions and bundle its research and development activities. Stefan Hohm, an experienced DACHSER manager, will head up this new Corporate Unit. He has led the Logistics Center in Hof for the past seven years.
The international logistics provider DACHSER Czech Republic introduced a new daily connection to Barcelona at the beginning of February. This regular direct line is a reaction to the increasing export and import activity from southern Europe. 
DACHSER has “gone live” with its own road logistics branch in Turkey. The new site in Istanbul will be linked up to the European groupage network via the Cargoplus organization. 
The international logistics provider DACHSER Czech Republic has reacted to the strong demand for exports to Poland and to the north of Europe and has introduced a new direct line from Ostrava to the Polish city of Sosnowiec. From now it therefore delivers groupage shipments from Moravia to all of Poland within 24 hours. Thanks to DACHSER’s dense European network and direct links to each of the branches, it also speeds up the connection from the east of the Czech Republic on to the Baltics and Scandinavia. 
The international logistics provider, DACHSER Czech Republic, has launched a new direct route to the Netherlands and Belgium. Therefore starting now Czech exporters can also use an everyday connection to Zevenaar in the east of the Netherlands and to the Belgian town of Willebroek not far from Antwerp.
DACHSER Air & Sea Logistics has introduced a regular LCL (Less-than-container-load or sea groupage) service from the Chinese port of Shanghai to the Czech Republic. The regular weekly departure of the LCL containers on the Shanghai-Kladno route serves not only the Chinese metropolis of Shanghai, but also the wider area of the Chinese provinces of Jiangsu and Zhejiang. 
Petra Růžičková has been appointed Branch Manager of DACHSER Czech Republic branch in České Budějovice. In her position she will be responsible for the strategic management of the branch. 
In fiscal year 2014, DACHSER generated 5.2% in additional revenue. Including revenue from corporate holdings, the two Business Fields* Road Logistics and Air & Sea Logistics grew by 5.0% and 8.0% respectively. "A lively spring was followed by an extraordinarily strong fall," says Bernhard Simon, CEO of DACHSER, in summarizing the year's events. "The trend toward outsourcing internationally complex logistics tasks in particular has made a contribution to the organic growth." 
The international logistics provider DACHSER is using a rail connection between Asia and Europe. The containers will travel a distance of 11,000 km between Europe and Asia in only 14 days. This is an excellent alternative to the fast, though expensive air transport and the economical, though slow sea route. Czech companies can thus profit from significantly faster, while still reasonably priced transport.
DACHSER, one of Europe's leading logistics providers, has changed its legal form to a Societas Europaea (SE) and has opened the way for the future. The family-owned company is not planning an IPO. 
The international logistics provider DACHSER Czech Republic is expanding its cooperation with the Siemens group. It is already providing contract logistics services for its Elektromotory Frenštát plant, including the operation of a warehouse with an area of approximately 2400 m2.

Information security in accordance with DIN ISO/IEC 27001 is not a snapshot event, but a continuous improvement process. In keeping with this principle, DACHSER not only arranges for annual audits of its Corporate IT, it currently is also having TÜV Süd review its entire software development process.
The international logistics provider DACHSER has extended its cooperation with OTIS, one of the world’s largest producers of escalators and elevators. DACHSER has been providing contract logistics services for OTIS in its Břeclav branch for ten years.
The logistics provider DACHSER Czech Republic received the Responsible Care certificate for responsible business activities in the chemical industry. The international certificate was granted by the Association of the Chemical Industry of the Czech Republic on the basis of an evaluation of the company in connection with the handling of chemical products. DACHSER has thus become the sole provider of comprehensive logistics services that has received this certification.
With its move to a new and larger property in Willebroek, Belgium, international logistics provider DACHSER is boosting its presence in the Benelux region. New construction took five months, with the new logistics center launching its operations on October 6th. Construction included a 7,000-square-meter transit terminal with 68 gates and a three-story office building that measures 2,300 square meters.
The international logistics provider DACHSER has expanded its logistics capacity in Břeclav with 3 300 m2 of additional warehouse space in Bratislavská Street. The facility will be used as a dry and temperature-controlled warehouse.
DACHSER Czech Republic signed a contract to prolong the cooperation with the Slovak company St. Nicolaus-trade. It distributes the products of this traditional producer of spirits from Liptovský Mikuláš throughout the Czech Republic and also provides contract logistic services.

International logistics provider Dachser continues to expand its Asia operations, taking over its partner’s shares in three countries. As a result, the family-owned company is now the sole shareholder in the company’s ventures in India and Thailand and a majority shareholder of the joint venture in Bangladesh.
The international logistics provider DACHSER Czech Republic has introduced a new direct daily groupage service to two of the most important industrial centres in northern Italy, Verona and Milan. The new connection reacts to the increasing export and import activity with regard to southern Europe.
Dachser is now doing business in South Korea as Dachser Korea Inc., effective July 1st. The global logistics provider has maintained a presence in the Republic of Korea (South Korea) since 2006 as MGI & Dachser Inc. This past December, Dachser acquired the remaining 50% of the joint venture. Together with the renaming of the company, Dachser also moved into new offices in Seoul.
The international logistics provider DACHSER Czech Republic has expanded its targospeed 10 and targospeed 12 services to more destinations. These two groupage delivery products ensure delivery in the morning hours – by ten or twelve o’clock.
DACHSER opened its new integrated logistics centre in Northampton, UK. The new facility occupies a 7.4 hectare site and represents an investment of EUR 26 million by the company.
DACHSER enters the Finnish overland transport market on June 1, 2014 and has established the joint venture DACHSER Finland Oy for this purpose. ACE Logistics Group—a network partner headquartered in Tallinn (Estonia) with whom Dachser has already collaborated for over fifteen years in the Baltic nations— holds a fifty percent equity interest in the JV.
A strong second half-year and the successful integration of the two Spanish acquisitions, Azkar and Transunion, boosted DACHSER’s revenue in 2013.
The international logistics provider DACHSER has launched new direct groupage lines. Export logistics services to Denmark have been reinforced by direct daily lines, which shorten the journey of shipments to Scandinavia as little as two days.
DACHSER is the first logistics provider to successfully test an electrically powered terminal tractor. The prototype for this environmentally-friendly tractor proved to be a success in normal operations at two of DACHSER’s German branches.
The year after the acquisition by DACHSER, the Spanish air and sea freight forwarder Transunion, S.A., is completing its integration into the network of the global logistics provider. Starting on 1 January 2014, the company will be operating as DACHSER Spain Air & Sea Logistics, S.A.U.
Logistics provider DACHSER is expanding its presence in Switzerland with the opening of its new site in the Bern region. The international company is enhancing its global operations by establishing its ninth Swiss site that will occupy an area of 12,200 square meters, and create around 40 new jobs in the region. Start-up of operations at the new site is anticipated for September 2014.
This year the international logistics provider DACHSER invested into expanding its inland transport network and also into the Air and Sea Transport Division. Acquisitions all around the world have strengthened the company’s position in southern and northern Europe and in Southeast Asia.
DACHSER continues its global expansion in the Air & Sea Logistics business field by forming a joint venture in Indonesia starting November 18.
The international logistics provider DACHSER Czech Republic has accepted twelve students for its Trainee Program. DACHSER has been operating this program in the Czech Republic since 2010 and so far a total of 44 university students have participated.
International logistics provider DACHSER will begin using a new logistics facility in Sweden mid 2014. In the new logistics terminal in Gothenburg, Sweden’s second largest city, DACHSER will have 850 square meters of new office space at its disposal as well as a 1,750-square-meter, 15-gate transit terminal.
Azkar, DACHSER’s Spanish subsidiary, participated in Vuelta as official logistics supplier to this event for the fifth consecutive year. Azkar supported this important cycling event around Spain which culminated past Sunday September 15th with the victory of Chris Horner from RadioShack team.
The international logistics provider DACHSER has extended its cooperation with country’s largest manufacturer of roofing material, Tondach. Since the beginning of July the company has also been delivering small shipments ordered from Tondach’s new internet store, operating all around the Czech Republic.
The international logistics provider DACHSER has launched new direct lines of groupage transport from its branch in Kladno. In view of this, a direct service is provided to Copenhagen, Barcelona and Clermont-Ferrand (France) on an everyday basis.
Roman Thurzo joined DACHSER Czech Republic as its new Air & Sea Logistics Country Manager. He will be responsible for A&S division operating in the Czech Republic.
Kempten/Valencia, 17.01.2013. Effective retroactively from the beginning of the year, the internationally operating logistics provider, DACHSER, has acquired the Spanish air and sea freight forwarder Transunion S. A. subject to approval by the antitrust authorities. The company employs a staff of 235. In addition to nine offices in Spain the company is also represented in Turkey, Argentina, Peru and Mexico.
The Berlin production site of Rudolf Wild GmbH & Co. KG relies on the electronic interchange of logistics data. The producer of natural ingredients and intermediate products for the food industry is the ten thousandth user to benefit from the advantages of closely meshed logistics systems and has linked its transport and warehouse systems via an interface to DACHSER’s EDI centre.

Effective 15 January 2013 subject to the approval of the anti-trust authorities the internationally operating logistics provider DACHSER is to acquire the Spanish logistics provider, Azkar S.A. DACHSER has held a 10 percent stake in its Iberian logistics partner since 2008.
Kempten/Port Elizabeth, 15 November 2012. DACHSER South Africa, the local organization of the internationally operating logistics provider, recently opened a fourth branch office in Port Elizabeth, extending an established network of South African offices in Johannesburg, Durban and Cape Town.

Hong Kong, Kempten. 3 September 2012. The internationally operating logistics provider, DACHSER, is opening a new branch office in Nanjing, thus extending its network of locations in the Yangtze River Delta.
Kempten/Kladno, 3 May 2012. In Kladno near Prague, where once steel from the Poldi steelworks was stored, excavators are now digging for DACHSER: the logistics provider is expanding its existing facility with the addition of a new transshipment hall for industrial goods and ambient foodstuffs. At the same time a spacious, four-storey office building is also being built to accommodate DACHSER’s head office in the Czech Republic.
