Florence is aiming for landfall late Thursday or early Friday somewhere between Charleston, South Carolina and Norfolk, Virginia. South Carolina, North Carolina and Virginia declared states of emergency to start evacuations where necessary.
Hurricane and storm surge watches were issued for sections of the coastlines of North Carolina and South Carolina with a storm surge expected to reach as much as 12 feet above ground in some areas. Flooding is expected due to the heavy rainfall. Damaging hurricane force winds are likely along coastal areas and could spread inland into the Carolinas and Virginia. Ports affected:

We will continue to monitor the situation and impact to our operations as the storm develops.
