Intelligent Logistic Solutions for Morocco, Tunisia & Algeria

After more than 17 years at the helm, Nick Lowe, DACHSER UK’s Managing Director, was taking early retirement at the end of September. His successor is Mark Rollinson, who has previously held various management positions at Schenker and Allport Cargo Services.
The United Kingdom and the European Union are in the middle of a lengthy and complicated series of Brexit negotiations.
At DACHSER, there is a wide range of different and responsible jobs. One of them is the Dangerous Goods Safety Advisor (DGSA). This role is of vital importance within the storage and transport chain in providing the expertise and knowledge which help to ensure that chemical goods reach their destination safely. Here we delve into a “Week in the Life” of one of our hardworking DGSAs, Gina Heywood, based at our Rochdale branch.
Absolute reliability and short delivery times are the name of the game for Muc-Off – a British company that manufactures maintenance products for bikes and motorcycles. DACHSER UK, part of the DACHSER group, a major international logistics provider, has been awarded Exhibitor of the Year at the FTA Multimodal Awards 2017; the presentation ceremony was held last night at an Awards Dinner following the first day of the Multimodal 2017 event.

For the 20th time, the consulting and auditing firm EY (Ernst & Young) has honored successful entrepreneurs with their “Entrepreneur des Jahres“ (Entrepreneur of the Year) award. Dachser CEO Bernhard Simon was among the winners of the prize, which is given for entrepreneurship, innovation and personal dedication. He accepted the award for family-owned companies in Berlin on November 18.
Currently, in general, cross-channel freight traffic is running well. However, the situation is still quite unpredictable.
Life Begins at 40! This was the slogan for the celebrations to mark the 40th anniversary of DACHSER opening in the UK.

On Saturday, 27th June, colleagues from DACHSER UK’s branches in Northampton, Rochdale and Dartford came together for a family fun day with entertainment and refreshments at the Northampton Logistics Centre.

Scanomat, a Danish manufacturer of high quality coffee brewers, transforms tablets into baristas. There’s now an app that operates the stylish coffee machines. Scanomat is banking on DACHSER to get the coffee cups steaming all over Europe. The logistics provider supplies the fully automatic coffee machines to retailers across Europe through its close-knit network.
On 8th January 1975 in the UK, Harold Wilson was Prime Minister and head of a Labour government, and “Lonely This Christmas” by the pop group Mud was number one in the charts. It was also the date that DACHSER Ltd was established in the UK.

2014 has been a year of growth and change in the UK for logistics services provider DACHSER, particularly for the Northampton branch which moved into its brand new, purpose-built Logistics Centre at the end of March.
Northampton apprentice, George Russell, has won the Logistics Advanced Apprentice of the Year Award 2014. The judges were impressed by his submission, which demonstrated his outstanding contribution to the workplace and also his achievements and attainment in learning and work.
Morocco is transforming itself from an agrarian state to a 21st century industrial and services-based society. Logistics plays a key role in the process. For over 30 years now, DACHSER has operated in the Kingdom and is growing with the market.
On May 30th, DACHSER Ltd in the UK opened its new integrated logistics centre in Northampton. The new facility occupies a 7.4 hectare site and represents an investment of EUR 26 million by the company.
From a formidable domestic contender to a major international player: when companies grow beyond their national borders, new thinking, future-oriented positioning, and a clear focus on customers’ needs is required.
DACHSER UK is proud to have been honoured by the British International Freight Association at its annual awards ceremony held in London on 16th January. The award, sponsored by the Albacore Group and presented by TV presenter Julia Bradbury, is for Staff Development. The judges commented that “DACHSER showed outstanding commitment to staff development with numerous schemes. These included setting up its own training facility and monitoring progress every step of the way”.
A little more than ten months after the acquisition by DACHSER, the Spanish air and sea freight forwarder, Transunion, S.A., is completing its integration into the network of the global logistics provider. Starting on 1 January 2014, the company will be operating as DACHSER Spain Air & Sea Logistics, S.A.U.
These fire trucks are on fire! Austria-based Rosenbauer supplies tailor-made, state of-the-art technology to airports throughout the globe. Sophisticated project logistics are essential for this purpose.
Work is progressing on DACHSER UK’s new logistics centre in Northampton. Currently operating from four different locations across the Brackmills Industrial Estate, the new flagship headquarters will bring the whole operation together on one site.
Once again, DACHSER UK will be exhibiting at the Multimodal trade show at the NEC, Birmingham.
At spoga+gafa (8-10 September, 2013) Cologne this year welcomes “the whole world of the garden“. A very special green thumb – one for logistics in fact – is a feature of DACHSER (Stand D001, Hall 6.1), given that the network of the international logistics supplier last year, with the inclusion of Spain, Argentina, Peru, Vietnam and Turkey has now grown to 41 countries.

On Thursday, 27th June, DACHSER UK MD, Nick Lowe, was pleased to be part of the Brackmills Industrial Estate’s BID team that visited the House of Commons to meet with representatives of developers, investors and businesses based in the south-east of England.
Under the motto “Here, there, everywhere” Dachser is presenting its products and services at the transport logistic,  the world’s leading logistics trade fair, in Munich from 4-7 June (Hall B6, Stand 101/202)
Torben Madsen and Casper Storm aren’t exactly names that leap from the newspaper headlines. But anyone who has enjoyed a Scandinavian winter in a cosy holiday home will be familiar with the famous Nordic design of the matt black wood burning stoves. The two Danish architects create the timelessly beautiful stoves for manufacturer Aduro that also warm the homes of non-Scandinavians alike. However, this demands sophisticated logistics, whose heart doesn’t beat in northern latitudes, but on the Danube.
