DACHSER Develops a Top-10 Customs-supervised Warehouse at Shanghai Pudong Airport

On 31 October 2014, the Cargo Administration of Shanghai Pudong Airport announced a bulletin about its evaluation of customs-supervised warehouses for the 3rd quarter, which included 10 warehouses with the highest scores. DACHSER Shanghai Co. Ltd (hereinafter referred to as “DACHSER”) is one of them. According to the bulletin, 7 of the 10 top-rated warehouses belong to Chinese companies; DACHSER is one of the only 3 international companies and the only logistics provider from Europe that claimed this title.

Customs-supervised warehouses are evaluated based on their daily operations, with standards including how strict they adhere to their system, how they deal with certificates and accounts, how they manage the input and output of cargos and how they handle cargos that are delayed in reporting. Regular inspections and spot checks are also included to finally decide on the quarterly score.

Being among the top-10 customs-supervised warehouses, at the 4th quarter this year DACHSER will enjoy “four preferential policies”. DACHSER, and more importantly its customers, will receive priority in customs transit, release of imported goods, inspection procedures and, if feasible, custom pass procedures.

DACHSER established its customs-supervised warehouse on 1 January 2014, which has, with zero error, achieved full score (100 points) consecutively in all the 1st, 2nd and 3rd quarters. With such achievements, DACHSER develops a top-rated warehouse even as a “newcomer” to the customs supervision zone at Shanghai Pudong Airport. The company strives to maintain its meticulousness and professional manners in order to keep on granting its customers access to preferential customs policies.
