Dangerous Goods banned to enter Beijing during “China’s Two Sessions”

“China’s Two Sessions”, the annual meeting of the top Chinese politicians in Beijing, are currently being held in Beijing.

The Chinese People's Political Consultative Conference (CPPCC), the highest political advisory body, started the session on March 3, 2019; the session for The National People's Congress (NPC), the national legislature body, is expected to be on March 5, 2019.

The Beijing authorities have therefore been strengthening safety measures. The Beijing Capital Airport Security announced a partial Dangerous Goods (DG) ban. The following DG classes are not accepted to enter the airport terminals until March 15, 2019:

- IATA DG Class 1, Explosives
- IATA DG Class 6, Toxic substance
- IATA DG Class 7, Radioactive material

Lithium batteries and other DG classes, that are not restricted by IATA, can be accepted. Please talk to your local DACHSER representative for more detailed information.
