DACHSER is the big winner in the presentation of the 2014 Verkehrsrundschau Image Awards. Bernhard Simon, Head of the DACHSER Management Board, proudly accepted three of the highly-coveted distinctions for the company's recognition factor and reputation in the German logistics industry presented by VDA President Matthias Wissmann. Under the categories air freight and sea container service, load forwarding and groupage freight services as well as food and consumer goods logistics, the awards cover all three of DACHSER's business fields.

"Our employees work hard to earn this excellent reputation: through consistently high quality, highly skilled consulting, and the constant drive toward perfection in service," explains Bernhard Simon, Head of the DACHSER Management Board. "The positive feedback of our industry and retail customers encourages us to consistently proceed along this path and to constantly improve ourselves."

As part of the 'Image Ranking 2014' study, trade journal Verkehrsrundschau identified the best companies in the area of transport and logistics services. For this purpose, the Kleffmann market research institute surveyed 400 logistics decision-makers in industrial and commercial businesses on the recognition factor and reputation of 88 logistics companies in five market segments. DACHSER scored 700 points out of a maximum 1,000 potential image points in the categories for air and sea container freight services, 723 points in load forwarding and groupage freight services and 776 points in food and consumer goods logistics. Each of these scores put DACHSER in first place in all three main evaluations.

Under this study, 96.3 percent of logistics decision-makers surveyed stated that a service provider's reputation plays a significant role in their decisions to award transport and logistics contracts. According to another finding in the study, a logistics provider's image is most strongly determined by three factors: price-to-performance ratio, customer orientation, and service quality.
