Earthquake in Mexico

On Tuesday, September 19 a powerful 7.1 magnitude earthquake was reported near Puebla, about 100 miles from Mexico City. Our DACHSER offices in Mexico City and Puebla were closed yesterday to inspect for any damage, but re-opened today and our employees are all accounted for.

The airport in Mexico City is operating normally again after it was closed for inspection after the earthquake. Terminal 2 had some damage that will need to be repaired, but the terminal is still open.

In some parts of town the road infrastructure was damaged severely which will delay local pick-ups and deliveries. The seaports were not affected directly.
