DACHSER Chem-Logistics and the German Chemical Industry Association (VCI) celebrated two occasions today at the start of Leipzig’s second Dangerous Goods & Dangerous Materials trade fair: the 10th anniversary of their successful purchasing partnership and a five-year contract extension.

With the help of Custom Chrome Europe, a supplier of aftermarket parts and accessories for Harley-Davidson motorcycles, rugged individualist bikers transform their Harleys into one-of-a-kind machines. This is supported by a custom-tailored procurement concept from DACHSER: the logistics provider picks up 25,000 individual components from 140 suppliers for the US company and ships them to Europe.
DACHSER SE secures a double victory as the most successful logistics brand in the 2016 Image Ranking published by the German trade journal “Verkehrsrundschau.“ The Image Ranking Awards are presented every two years and DACHSER SE was awarded first place in two different categories for the second time in a row.

DACHSER’s Houston Branch Wrangles the Competition at the 2014 World's Championship         Bar-B-Que Contest
DACHSER Air & Sea Logistics successfully mastered an extreme challenge to the logistics chain. DACHSER was tasked with organizing two containers with pharmaceuticals from Vienna within the absolute shortest time frame to a patient with a life-threatening illness, treated in the Sultanate of Oman. Fine-tuned logistical prowess played a critical role here because the time slot for the shipment was extremely tight.
DACHSER charters Antonov
At the end of October, DACHSER organized the transport of a 95-ton section of a generator (specifically, the stator) from Graz, Austria to Tampa, Florida, USA. In order to cross the Atlantic, DACHSER chartered an Antonov AN 124-100 freighter airplane. Graz Airport authorized a special take-off clearance just for this project.

From education to sustainability: Since 2005 DACHSER and terre des hommes are engaging in the Indian state of Uttar Pradesh. The humanitarian work is successful, reports Bernhard Simon, Spokesman of the DACHSER Management Board.

Ensuring all eventualities were reduced to a minimum was the main objective of N2telligence GmbH on its first major customer project: a few weeks ago the energy experts from Hamburg delivered a first stationary fuel cell to the Mercedes Benz dealership in their home city. The 16-tonne power package was manufactured in Japan. DACHSER Air & Sea Logistics collected it from there and delivered it punctually to the day to the Mercedes construction site on the Friedrich-Ebert-Damm.
