Newsroom

While politicians continue to try and find a way out of the Brexit crisis, the leaving date draws inexorably closer. Now it’s up to companies to systematically plan and prepare for all eventualities. One major issue: customs.
One of the most well-known and renowned car brands in the world is a new customer at DACHSER. Two custom-built mega trailers will be transporting spare parts from Volvo Cars in Torslanda outside Gothenburg to DACHSER Sweden AB’s branch in Gothenburg.
Right now, the whole world is looking anxiously to London. The members of the House of Commons will be deciding on the Brexit deal negotiated by the UK government and the EU. There is no telling which way the parliament’s decision will go. But whatever the outcome, DACHSER is prepared.
On January 1 2019, Armend Krasniqi (33) will assume the position as Branch Manager European Logistics for DACHSER Norway AS.

Market Information

By now, anyone doing business in the Asia markets is well into planning how the continuity of trade will work during the Chinese New Year (CNY) when virtually all business in China, including factories, closes down from one to four weeks. In 2019 CNY will begin on February 5.
Due to the consistently strong air freight market and expected strong business in the current fall, we expect further capacity bottlenecks. For this reason, it is recommended that air freight shipments be booked as soon as possible, so that they can be dispatched as planned.
Following the expansion of truck tolls to include highways in July 2018, the German government has now decided to increase tolls for trucks of all classes, effective January 1, 2019.
This year, the logistics provider will again be organizing charter flights for the Frankfurt–Shanghai–Frankfurt route, thus offering customers in central Europe and China weekly round trips during air freight’s peak season.
