DACHSER at ProWein 2026: Global services for the wine and spirits industry

DACHSER will once again be exhibiting at ProWein, the leading trade fair for wine and spirits, which will take place in Düsseldorf from March 15 to 17, 2026. The focus of the presentation in Hall 6, Booth N46, will be on industry-specific logistics services in Germany and Europe, as well as integrated supply chains to Asia, North America, and South America.

DACHSER offers comprehensive services for the wine and spirits sector.

"Wine and spirits are a focus industry for us," says Stefan Käufer, Key Account Manager, DACHSER Food Logistics. "We offer suitable logistics solutions for smaller producers as well as for large brands and distributors in the industry – whether in Germany, Europe, or the rest of the world." These include cross-border procurement and distribution, warehousing, customs and excise duty processing, point-of-sale services, advertising material logistics, and omnichannel services such as the customization of individual bottles and B2C distribution.

Global stage for global services

For customers in the wine and spirits industry who want to export worldwide, DACHSER offers integrated end-to-end supply chains, combining Air & Sea Logistics services with its dense Road Logistics network in Europe. Buyer’s consolidation solutions are also possible, whereby shipments from different suppliers are bundled into a complete container. This allows, for example, individual pallets of wine and spirits to be sent efficiently to Asia.

Stefan Behrendt, Managing Director Food Logistics at DACHSER, explains: "We see great growth potential for the industry in the export sector. For example, demand for high-quality wines and spirits from Europe is also rising in the Asia-Pacific region. DACHSER is an ideal partner for bringing goods efficiently and reliably to markets around the world." In addition to logistics experts from Europe, DACHSER employees from the Americas and Asia Pacific business units will also be present at the ProWein trade fair booth to engage in conversation with industry professionals.

ProWein is considered the leading international trade fair for wine and spirits. Last year, 4,200 exhibitors from 65 countries showcased their products in eleven exhibition halls in Düsseldorf. The organizer counted over 42,000 visitors from 128 countries. Admission to the three-day event is reserved for trade visitors.

Statement on the current situation in regard to the spread of the COVID-19 virus

With this announcement, DACHSER is providing information on action to be taken to prevent the spread of the COVID-19 virus (also known as the coronavirus) within the DACHSER organization and in regard to the current status of operational activities as well as any possible impacts on our customers’ shipments.

In view of the current situation, specific guidelines for conduct and precautions have been rolled out within the global DACHSER organization. The actions to be taken include the establishment of a central reporting management system, regular assessment of the situation, and definition of additional action according to the situation. The relevant activities were also expanded and intensified on the basis of the existing hygiene management in the various areas (human resources, operational, and process hygiene).

In addition to these actions taken internally, DACHSER is complying with all current official regulations and taking appropriate precautions. In the event of restrictions applicable to individual locations, action plans are ready to be implemented in order to ensure that our network can continue to operate.

To enable a smooth process, we depend on being able to work together with all parties involved in the supply chains, including cooperation with truck drivers so that they will also be able to comply with increased hygiene regulations. We also fully integrated the drivers into our hygiene management and provided hand disinfectants at all locations.

We are doing everything possible to maintain our customers’ supply chains and prevent delays in shipments. If supply chains are to be affected in any way by checks, controls, flight cancellations, or the like, we will work to find alternative ways to ship the goods. We would also like to point out that the delivery times for consignments could be extended. However, the measures we have taken so far make us feel well equipped to deal with the current situation.To make this possible, it is essential that we maintain close coordination with our customers.
