DACHSER powers “La Vuelta”

The logistics provider offers customized logistics services for the famous road cycling race for the 11th consecutive year.

DACHSER is a sponsor and official logistics provider of La Vuelta

Comprehensive logistics for a demanding and unique three-week sporting event: This is the challenge that DACHSER has successfully overcome in the last 11 years, as a sponsor and official logistics service provider of La Vuelta. In 2019, the race will take place from August 24th to September 15th and cover a distance of 3,272.2 kilometers.
In 2019, DACHSER contributes 29 vehicles and a dedicated team of 35 logistics professionals that will travel with the professional road cycling teams through Spanish, French and Andorran territories. The modern EURO 6 vehicles reaffirm DACHSER´s commitment to the environment and to sustainable transports.
One of the novelties of DACHSER's sponsorship this year is its presence in all the stage starts, with a vehicle that combines the usual red color of the event with the corporate yellow and blue of DACHSER. The cyclists who make up the 22 teams of this edition have to present themselves each morning in this vehicle and confirm with their signature their participation in the stage of the day. It is a special moment in each location attracting thousands of followers daily, who attend with the hope of seeing their idols up close and living the exciting atmosphere that surrounds La Vuelta.

La Vuelta 2019 will cover three countries

In the current edition of La Vuelta the cyclists will pedal in three countries - Spain, Andorra and France - as they did in 2017, with the spectacular start from the French city of Nimes. On this occasion, the municipalities of Pau and Saint Palais are chosen in French territory to star in the start and finish of stages 10 and 11, out of a total of 21. The complete itinerary, which begins in Las Salinas de Torrevieja -Alicante- and ascends the Levante towards Catalonia, includes a total of 9 mountain stages, with the classic ascent to the Asturian peak of La Cubilla as the main attraction of the event. The final will be played between the mountains of Gredos and Guadarrama, crossing legendary ports of La Vuelta as La Morcuera, which has already determined the outcome of La Vuelta 2015, with Fabio Aru and Tom Dumoulin as protagonists.
