DACHSER Sweden on course for growth

DACHSER Sweden's business is developing positively: by opening a new sales office in Örebro, the logistics provider is expanding its presence in central Sweden. Furthermore, Carl-Johan Westas was appointed as new Country Manager Sweden European Logistics to strengthen DACHSER´s management team in the Nordic region.

DACHSER Sweden is expanding its presence in central Sweden.

Despite economic challenges such as disruptions to global supply chains caused by the pandemic and the associated impact on the trade market, DACHSER Sweden is growing steadily. To strengthen the organization and keep on growing in the future, the logistics company plans to add a sales office in Örebro in 2022. Thus, business will be gradually expanded in the central part of Sweden, which is a strong logistic base. By establishing itself in the region, DACHSER Sweden will connect the area between Mälarregionen and Värmland to its European Logistics network.

“Expanding to Örebro is a natural step for DACHSER Sweden. Apart from the areas we already cover, Örebro is the region where we see the largest volumes,” says Thomas Wennborg, Branch Manager in Stockholm and responsible for the expansion to Örebro.

New country manager appointed

As another outcome of the positive progress, the country's management structure has been strengthened by the appointment of Carl-Johan Westas as Country Manager Sweden European Logistics as of January 1, 2022. Westas is responsible for DACHSER Sweden's four European Logistics branches in Malmö, Jönköping, Gothenburg and Stockholm. Thus, he will significantly drive forward DACHSER´s growth course in Sweden.

"In Sweden, we are not one of the bigger players as a company yet compared to the size of DACHSER in Europe. My goal is to further expand DACHSER´s footprint in Sweden–with its European Logistics network, its connections to the global markets and yet local services”, says Westas.
