Connectivity – A look at future technologies
What are LPWAN, NB-IoT, and LTE-M actually about? And what benefits do these future technologies offer specifically for logistics?
Creating a comfortable climate
Ochsner heat pumps bring pleasant temperatures to apartments and houses. Sustainability is on trend in home and building technology. To ensure that the company’s Austrian products reach its customers all across Europe and, increasingly, throughout the world, the technology leader relies on DACHSER—its trusted logistics partner for a decade.
Open for new connections
Together with French manufacturer of high-tech products SOURIAU-SUNBANK, DACHSER has developed a new logistics concept: four trips a week between France and Morocco instead of two. DACHSER also optimizes load capacities with other customers’ goods. Overall, this saves time, creates logistical flexibility, and increases productivity.
DACHSER Czech Republic starts using longer trucks
In the Czech Republic, DACHSER has recently started circulating two longer trucks on its daily route between its branches in Ostrava and Brno. This will increase capacity on the route while at the same time freeing up one conventional vehicle.
Omnichannel logistics with smart data
With their omnichannel concepts, DIY and garden stores now make use of all sales channels. Intelligent logistics solutions, such as drop shipment, support them in doing this.
Possible flight delays to and from China
A typhoon in China, which is equivalent to a Category 3 hurricane, can lead to flight delays to and from China. Impacts of the storm are felt across Taiwan. Over the weekend the typhoon will move towards China or pass close to its coast and will lead to closures of schools and offices, as well as flight cancellations due to the weather conditions.
