DACHSER Malaysia under new management

DACHSER has appointed Daniel Pohl as Managing Director Air & Sea Logistics Malaysia with effect from 1 January 2019. Pohl has 17 years of experience in the logistics world and has been with DACHSER Asia Pacific since 2010.

1983 born Pohl, who comes from a German-Indonesian family and lived in China for 23 years, brings a wealth of international expertise to the DACHSER country organization. He is reporting to Christophe Vincent, Managing Director Air & Sea Logistics Thailand, Singapore, Vietnam and Malaysia at DACHSER.

Strong focus on business activities and the Malaysian market

After having held different positions at global logistics companies, Pohl joined DACHSER in 2010. Most recently, he proved his leadership capabilities by successfully heading sales in the company’s North China business area. 

“My team and I will strongly focus on increasing business activities and DACHSER’s footprint in the Malaysian market”, the young leader said. “Regions like Penang and Johor Baru offer huge potential for logistics,” he added.

DACHSER strengthens its Interlocking presence at Frankfurt Airport

On 1 July 2020, DACHSER strengthened its networking between the Air & Sea Logistics and European Logistics business segments at Frankfurt Airport and is now bundling air freight import traffic for Germany and other European countries at Frankfurt Airport.

Once the air freight arrives at Frankfurt Airport and is accepted into the air freight warehouse, it is fed directly into the DACHSER European Logistics network, which has a branch office at the airport. With Europe-wide delivery from Frankfurt via the network, DACHSER thus offers its customers a uniform and reliable solution from the point of departure overseas to delivery in Europe. It is now also possible to offer customers end-to-end monitoring of their consignment via eLogistics.
