DACHSER deliveries are emission-free in 25 European cities
At the beginning of 2023, DACHSER announced its plan to double the number of its urban zero-emission delivery areas in Europe over a three-year period. The logistics provider realized this goal by the end of 2025. In 25 major European cities and metropolitan regions in ten countries, DACHSER has specified downtown areas in which it delivers non-refrigerated groupage shipments with zero local emissions. The company has thus implemented a further component of its long-term climate strategy.
Impact of military strikes in the Middle East on air and sea freight
Following military air and cyber attacks by Israel and the US against Iran over the weekend and subsequent Iranian counterattacks on several locations in the Middle East, international air and sea traffic in the Middle East is currently severely disrupted.
DACHSER and Fraunhofer IML win the European Logistics Association Award with @ILO
DACHSER and Fraunhofer IML have been honored with the European Logistics Association (ELA) Award for their jointly developed @ILO digital twin. The award ceremony took place in Vienna on Thursday, February 19. The ELA (a federation of national logistics associations from Europe and beyond) presents the award in recognition of innovative projects and outstanding achievements in the field of logistics and supply chain management. Back in 2023, @ILO received the German Logistics Award from the German Logistics Association (BVL). Now the technology has also been recognized at the European level.
DACHSER at ProWein 2026: Global services for the wine and spirits industry
DACHSER will once again be exhibiting at ProWein, the leading trade fair for wine and spirits, which will take place in Düsseldorf from March 15 to 17, 2026. The focus of the presentation in Hall 6, Booth N46, will be on industry-specific logistics services in Germany and Europe, as well as integrated supply chains to Asia, North America, and South America.
DACHSER Nordics and Frigoscandia under joint management
Kristian Jönsson, 49, from Sweden, has been Managing Director of DACHSER Nordics since February 1. In his new role, he is responsible for the three business lines DACHSER European Logistics, DACHSER Food Logistics, and DACHSER Air & Sea Logistics in the four Nordic country organizations in Denmark, Finland, Norway, and Sweden.
DACHSER at LogiMAT 2026
Logistics provider DACHSER will once again be exhibiting at LogiMAT, which will take place in Stuttgart from March 24 to 26, 2026. The focus of its exhibition at booth C02 in hall 7 will be on how new technologies and the expertise of experienced logistics specialists must work together to keep supply chains efficient and effective even under challenging conditions.
DACHSER expands its Hegau-Bodensee logistics center in Steißlingen
DACHSER is expanding its Hegau-Bodensee logistics center in Steißlingen with a new warehouse building that offers 8,950 m2 of logistics space and room for 22,000 pallets. In addition, the company is expanding its existing transit terminals for industrial and consumer goods as well as food. With this investment, DACHSER Steißlingen, strategically located close to Switzerland, is responding to demand from new and existing customers in industry and retail for additional storage capacity. As part of the construction work, the branch is also expanding its sustainable energy supply and electromobility.

The Year of the Horse will be welcomed on February 17, 2026, with Lunar New Year celebrations - one of the most cherished traditions originating in Chinese culture, as families reunite and festivities fill the season.
This holiday extends beyond China and is widely observed across the Asia Pacific region, including Indonesia, South Korea, Malaysia, Vietnam, and more.
New location for food logistics: DACHSER expands its logistics center in Freiburg
DACHSER is creating a new location for food logistics in southwest Germany. To this end, it is expanding its existing logistics center for industrial and consumer goods in the Breisgau industrial park near Freiburg. Construction of the new transit terminal, which will be cooled to 2 to 7 degrees Celsius, began in early August 2025, with the terminal scheduled to go into operation in June 2026.
CBAM – Full Implementation as of January 1, 2026 for Imports into the EU
The EU will fully implement the Carbon Border Adjustment Mechanism (CBAM) as of January 1, 2026. The aim is to create equal competitive conditions and prevent the relocation of emissions-intensive production to countries with lower climate protection requirements (“carbon leakage”).
Importers of certain goods such as steel, aluminum, cement, fertilizers, and electricity will in future have to bear CO₂ costs comparable to those for goods produced within the EU.
EU Deforestation Regulation (EUDR) to be postponed again
The EU Parliament and Council agree: The EU Deforestation Regulation is to be postponed by one year. If the EU Commission also gives its final approval, the amending regulation can be adopted and published later this year, so that the EUDR will not enter into force until December 30, 2026.
DACHSER receives the Eco Performance Award 2025
DACHSER has been honored with the Eco Performance Award 2025 in the "Large Companies" category. The logistics service provider was recognized for its commitment and strategic approach to implementing electromobility in its logistics network. The Eco Performance Awards 2025 are supported by industry associations from Germany and Switzerland, including Astag, BGL, BWVL, DSLV, and SpedlogSwiss. The sustainability award ceremony took place on October 28 as part of the DEKRA Commercial Vehicle Outlook Conference 2025 in Berlin.
DACHSER Food Logistics opens new locations in Europe
With two new branches in Waddinxveen, the Netherlands, and Parma, Italy, DACHSER Food Logistics is further setting its sights on growth in Europe. Both locations benefit from their proximity to existing DACHSER sites for industrial and consumer goods.

This year, 661 young people across Germany started their apprenticeships at DACHSER. The logistics provider also welcomes 22 new dual students and eight new participants for its Young Professionals trainee program.
DACHSER honored with the 'Gold Award' of the German Packaging Award
DACHSER has been awarded the Gold Award of the German Packaging Prize 2025 by the German Packaging Institute (dvi). The award was given for the innovative reusable system for shop deliveries, 'Retail Box', in the Logistics & Material Flow category. The award ceremony took place during the Fachpack trade fair in Nuremberg.
