Update on the impact on global supply chains
The pandemic situation in Shanghai and other major Chinese cities remains tense. This continues to impact global supply chains in air, sea and land transport. We would therefore like to give you an overview of the current situation in China and other regions:
DACHSER secures long-term air freight capacity
DACHSER Air & Sea Logistics is extending its charter program on the route between Shanghai and Frankfurt to cover the period from May 2022 to April 2024. This enables the logistics provider to continue to offer its customers reliable transport capacity. DACHSER flies a widebody aircraft between Asia and Europe two days a week, transporting 33 metric tons at a time.
Moving into a new dimension
2021 was an exceptional year in every respect. DACHSER recorded a strong growth spurt and increased its revenue to EUR 7.1 billion - equivalent to an increase of 26 percent. This has taken the logistics service provider to new heights. But the challenges DACHSER and the entire logistics industry are facing in 2022 are also big. Thoughts from DACHSER CEO Burkhard Eling.
His winning ways
Timon Jöhnke has limited mobility, but he has never let that slow him down. The logistics specialist feels that DACHSER is where he belongs.
DACHSER expands its LCL network portfolio in sea freight
DACHSER has been offering additional routes between Scandinavia and China since March 2022. The logistics provider’s direct LCL service runs once a week from Copenhagen and Gothenburg to Ningbo and Shanghai. Now that there is no more deconsolidation at the transit terminal, turnaround times are shorter, making this service a particularly fast transport option.
